Apple iPad Pro Design Film (2018)
Role: Freelance Art Director, Apple Marcom Brand
Robertino worked in-house with Apple Marcom Brand to develop the new iPad Pro Design Launch Film, under the creative direction of Matt Lawrence. The new iPad Pro signalled new grounds for iPad range, ushering best-in-class computer performance all packed within an elegantly engineered geometric form factor, and an all-new Apple Pencil. The team created a film which revealed the new iPad, playing with illusions of form, scale and shape to introduce the new product.
Roles included included Art Direction, look development, creating motion and edit tests, supervision of in-house motion design team and treatment-writing, and creating prototype product film edits with full-motion CG product renders.
Below is a selection of some of the many different visual concepts we explored for the film over a period of three months before production commenced.
